Direct Service Therapist

“Pain and purpose are two sides of the same thing. A person struggling with depression is very likely a person yearning to feel fully. A socially anxious person is very likely a person yearning to connect with others. You hurt where you care, and you care where you hurt.” — Steven Hayes

My work revolves around one's strengths. Every client has strengths although it may seem difficult to identify them at times. Being strength based helps to increase self-motivation for each client. Much of my therapy includes helping to challenge various thought distortions and beliefs. Many times life can take us on an unexpected path and we need support to get back to where we want to be. This can be done in a variety of ways which is why I take a multidimensional approach to treatment. With over 10 years in the mental health field, I am a trauma focused, strengths based therapist. I use a variety of treatment modalities. My belief is that no two clients are equal, meaning that it's critical to have knowledge of multiple approaches to best work with each client's individual needs. I firmly believe in building a strong relationship with each client by offering a safe, comfortable environment, and going at your pace. I want you to feel heard, understand that you matter, and that your struggles and concerns are valid. If you feel as though we would be a good fit, please feel free to reach out for a free phone consultation.
